How It All Begin: Sadie Decides to Serve A Mission
Sadie was attending BYU in the Fall of 2012 when October General Conference rolled around. A life-changing announcement was made at the second session, by the prophet Thomas S. Monson: "Today I am pleased to announce that able, worthy young women who have the desire to serve may be recommended for missionary service beginning at age 19, instead of age 21." Pictured here, Sadie and her friends all decided to serve missions a few months after the announcement was made. Sadie did not know where she was going in this picture. |
A few months later, the call arrived. |
Being younger than the rest of her friends, Sadie had waited a long time for her call.
She was called to.... |
HOUSTON TEXAS! Speaking Texan. (English) |
She had the opportunity to go through the temple with her family a couple months before she left. |
As she would say, What's my name?
Well, they call me Sister. |
